Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-22.v3 · Effective September 22, 2026

Using AdvPulse without an account?
The free public tools, the adviser search at advpulse.ai/explore and the AdvPulse plugin in ChatGPT, are covered by section 12, Free public tools. Sections 1 to 11 are the terms of an AdvPulse account; section 12 says which of them also apply to the public tools.

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding contract between you and AdvisorPulse Inc., a Delaware Corporation (“AdvPulse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your access to and use of the AdvPulse website, application, data, and services (collectively, the “Service”).

You accept these Terms by checking the acceptance boxes presented at sign-up (and again if we ask you to re-accept an updated version). If you do not agree, do not check the boxes and do not use the Service. You represent that you are at least 18 years old and are entering into these Terms on behalf of a business. The Service is offered for business use only; it is not intended for personal, household, or consumer purposes.

2. Industry eligibility attestation

Access to the Service is conditioned on your representation, made at sign-up and continuing for as long as you use the Service, that:

Your attestation
“I represent a company which participates in services provided to or for the financial services and investment industry.”

This representation is a condition of eligibility. If it ceases to be true, you must stop using the Service. We may suspend or terminate access if we have reason to believe the representation is or has become inaccurate.

3. Permitted use

You may access and use the data and outputs provided through the Service solely for the purpose of conducting sales to, or on behalf of, the financial services and investment industry. You may not use the Service, its data, or its outputs for any other purpose.

Internal use only. The data and outputs you obtain through the Service are for the internal use of your organization — your workspace in the Service and the company or firm it represents, including that company’s employees and the individual contractors who work under its direction. You may not share, disclose, transfer, or otherwise make them available to any person or entity outside your organization, whether through the Service or outside it. A separate firm that works on your behalf — a third-party marketer, an outsourced sales team, a consultant — is outside your organization and needs its own account. This does not prevent you from (a) contacting the people and firms that appear in your results in the course of your own sales outreach; (b) using service providers, such as your CRM or email provider, that process the data on your behalf and only for your internal use, under confidentiality obligations; (c) using features of the Service that we provide for sharing; or (d) making a disclosure that the law requires.

You must comply with all applicable laws in your use of the Service. Any illegal use is strictly prohibited. Without limiting the foregoing, you agree not to:

  • use the Service for any purpose outside the financial services and investment industry;
  • resell, redistribute, sublicense, or build a competing dataset or product from the data or outputs;
  • scrape, harvest, or bulk-export the Service beyond the access we expressly provide, or circumvent any access, rate, or usage control;
  • share, disclose, or make available the data or outputs to anyone outside your organization, except as these Terms expressly permit;
  • harass, defraud, deceive, or harm any person, or use the Service to send unlawful, abusive, or misleading communications.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we have reason to believe you have breached this section.

4. AdvPulse is not a consumer reporting agency

AdvPulse is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), and the data and outputs provided through the Service are not consumer reports. You may not use the Service, in whole or in part, as a factor in establishing any individual’s eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or any other purpose governed by the FCRA or any analogous state law.

You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Service never falls within an FCRA-governed eligibility purpose. This restriction is a material term of these Terms.

5. Outreach and communications compliance

If you use information obtained through the Service to contact any person or business, you are solely and expressly responsible for complying with all laws governing that outreach. This includes, without limitation, the CAN-SPAM Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”), federal and state do-not-call registries, and all analogous marketing, telemarketing, email, text-message, and outreach laws that apply to you.

AdvPulse does not send communications on your behalf and assumes no responsibility for the content, timing, targeting, or legality of any outreach you conduct. Obtaining and honoring any required consents, opt-outs, suppression lists, and disclosures is your obligation alone.

6. AI-generated content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, match scores, suggestions, and other outputs. These outputs are provided for informational purposes only, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and may reflect the limitations of the underlying models and data. They are not legal, financial, investment, tax, or professional advice.

You must independently verify any AI-generated statement before relying on or acting on it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AdvPulse is not liable for any inaccuracies in AI-generated content, or for any action you take, or decision you make, based on statements or advice provided by the Service.

7. Data sources

The Service draws on publicly available filings from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and its Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) system, together with aggregated, publicly available contact data. AdvPulse is an independent company. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or authorized by the SEC or any other government agency, and no such affiliation or endorsement should be inferred.

8. Fees, credits, and pricing changes

Use of the Service is metered in credits. You may subscribe to a paid plan that includes a monthly allowance of credits at a discounted rate. While your workspace has an active plan, or is within the purchase window of a one-time pass, you may also buy additional credits directly, at the rate shown for your plan or pass; a workspace on the free trial alone cannot buy credits directly. Current prices, plan allowances, and credit rates are shown in the application before you buy. All prices are stated and charged in U.S. dollars.

  • Paid plans are monthly subscriptions. They renew automatically each month until you cancel, and you authorize us (through our payment processor) to charge your payment method on each renewal.
  • You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for; we do not pro-rate a partial month.
  • Plan credits are an allowance for a single billing period. Unused plan credits do not roll over to the next period.
  • A one-time pass is a single payment, not a subscription, and does not renew. It adds the number of credits stated at purchase to your workspace and opens a purchase window of the length stated at purchase, during which the workspace may buy additional credits directly. A pass may be purchased once per workspace and once per user.
  • Credits you purchase directly do not expire and remain available while your account is open, including after a plan is cancelled or a pass window ends. Credits included in a one-time pass are purchased credits.
  • Automatic top-ups run only while your workspace has an active plan or is within a pass window. When neither is true we switch automatic top-ups off and do not charge your payment method for them; credits you already hold remain usable.
  • Usage limits. We may limit use of the Service — for example how many searches, results, or exports are available in a period, or how many research runs a workspace can execute at the same time. The limits that apply to your plan are shown in the application.
  • Credits we grant without charge — trial, promotional, or bonus credits — have no cash value, are not refundable, and may carry conditions stated when they are granted.

AdvPulse is in early access. We may change our prices, plan allowances, credit rates, and the features included in the Service. If a change affects your plan, we will notify you by email before it takes effect, and it will not apply to a billing period you have already paid for. If a price increase affects the plan you are on, we will not charge you the new price without your agreement: unless you tell us otherwise, we will move you to the closest lower-priced plan we then offer, and you may cancel instead at any time.

Prices are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for any sales, use, value-added, or similar taxes arising from your purchase, other than taxes on our income, and we will add them to your charge where we are required to collect them.

Except where a refund is required by law, all charges are final and payments are non-refundable, including for unused credits and for partial billing periods. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund amounts already paid.

Thank you for being with us this early — early-access customers are shaping what AdvPulse becomes, and we intend to treat your pricing, and your feedback, accordingly.

9. Changes to these Terms

These Terms are versioned. When we make material changes, we will update the version and effective date shown above and provide notice, which may include asking you to re-accept the updated Terms before you continue using the Service. Your continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We are putting our best effort to sharpen our disclaimer and Terms of Service to be fully compliant with appropriate laws, and we reserve the right to sharpen the interpretation of our terms over time.

10. Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL DATA AND OUTPUTS, IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AdvPulse disclaims all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, currency, or reliability of the data or outputs.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AdvPulse and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. AdvPulse’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the total fees you paid to AdvPulse in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, to the extent permitted by law.

Questions about these Terms may be sent to [email protected].

12. Free public tools

Anyone can use AdvPulse’s free public tools without an account: the adviser search at advpulse.ai/explore and the AdvPulse plugin in ChatGPT (the “public tools”). This section sets out the terms for using them, and you accept it by using a public tool. If you do not agree, do not use them. You do not need an account, the acceptance boxes at sign-up, or the attestation in section 2.

Who may use them. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use the public tools only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

What they show. The public tools search the public filings that investment advisers make with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the Form ADV registration and the Form ADV Part 2A brochure) and show firm-level information from them. They do not provide contact details for individuals. The information is shown as the firms filed it, from filings as of a past date rather than live. We do not verify it, and it may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Each firm’s official record is on the SEC’s Investment Adviser Public Disclosure website (adviserinfo.sec.gov); check it before you rely on anything the public tools show.

Not investment advice. The public tools provide information from public filings for your own research. They do not provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Nothing they show is a recommendation, rating, or endorsement of any adviser, a recommendation to hire or not to hire an adviser, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Using the public tools does not make AdvPulse your adviser and does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship. Any decision you make is yours; consider consulting a qualified professional before you make one.

The plugin in ChatGPT. ChatGPT is operated by OpenAI. When you use the AdvPulse plugin, our tools return results to ChatGPT, and ChatGPT writes the answer you read. That answer may summarize, leave out, or misstate our results, and AdvPulse is not responsible for it. OpenAI’s terms govern your use of ChatGPT.

How you may use them. You may use the public tools for your own research and due diligence. You agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl, or bulk-collect results, or access the public tools by automated means beyond ordinary use of the page or the plugin;
  • get around, or try to get around, any limit on how much you can search;
  • copy, sell, or redistribute the results as a dataset, list, or product, or use them to build a competing service;
  • present the results as AdvPulse’s rating, endorsement, or recommendation of any adviser; or
  • use the public tools unlawfully, or in a way that harms the public tools, their users, or anyone else.

The filings themselves are public records, available from the SEC; this section governs your use of our tools, not the public records. We may limit, suspend, or block access for anyone who breaks these rules, and we may change, limit, or stop the public tools at any time.

The rest of these Terms. The definitions in section 1 apply to this section. Sections 4 (not a consumer reporting agency), 6 (AI-generated content), 7 (data sources), 9 (changes), 10 (disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability), and 11 (governing law and contact) also apply to your use of the public tools. Because the public tools are free, AdvPulse’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the public tools will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100), in place of the fee-based limit in section 10. The acceptance, eligibility, and business-use requirements in section 1, and sections 2, 3, 5, and 8, apply only to AdvPulse accounts. Where this section differs from sections 1 to 11, this section governs your use of the public tools. If you also have an AdvPulse account, the terms of your account continue to apply to your use of it.
